Hi, thanks for checking out my blog which is mainly about Alternative Health, Spirituality and Personal Development.
I have been on my own quest for Spiritual knowledge for the last 8 years after discovering Reiki and subsequently training as a Hypnotherapist and I'm now studyin Health and Fitness. I have also studied and practiced meditation for many years, studying in the UK, India and Thailand. After practicing these techniques for some time I experienced my own Kundalini Awakening which is still progressing! Since then I have studied and tried to understand as much as possible about the process. I am also interested in Alternative History. I hope to one day discover the real truth of our existence and I'm always keeping an eye on what is going in the world today and questioning everything I see.
We are all looking for something, trying to make sense of it all. Trying to understand what is happening in the world around us and in our own inner world. There is so much information out there now regarding Spirituality, Alernative Health and History, it's easy to become confused and to lose our way. It can sometimes feel like you're going mad, too much information and not enough time to read it all, let alone understand it! It's important to remain balanced, to take a step back every now and then and just enjoy the moment, be happy to be alive. Stop thinking that you must do this or that to be happy or to be fulfilled. Just stop for a second and really enjoy the moment. Very few people ever actually do this, they are so focussed on what they are trying to do, where they're heading or where they've been that they forget to enjoy the journey. Someone once said to me 'Most people have one foot in the past in and one in the future , and they're pissing on their present' I think they might've been right...
Reiki
Reiki is a form of energy healing where energy is channelled through the hands to the recipient. Reiki works on both a physical and emotional level and can help people in many different ways. There are differing accounts of the true origins of Reiki but the main theme of the story is that a Japanese Doctor, Dr.Mikao Usui, re-discovered this technique after spending a long time in a meditation retreat. He has been portrayed as a both a Buddhist monk and a Christian. Some claim that Reiki originally comes from Buddhist Tantric Teachings and that is what Dr.Usui was studying in the retreat. The original teachings of Dr.Usui are more than likely not exactly the same as the teachings given today as they have been watered down and added too as they have passed from master to student. But the principles of Reiki are still the same. The most common form of Reiki is the Usui System mentioned above but there are many forms including Seichem or Egyptian Reiki and Tibetan Reiki. Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a way of bypassing your conscious mind and communicating directly with the subconscious. By doing this it is possible to reprogram the mind to behave and think in certain ways that are beneficial to the recipient. There are many myths and untruths around the subject of Hypnosis, mainly from the the type of hypnosis witnessed on the TV. One major misconception is that the recpient will be unconscious and under the control of the hypnotherapist. This is not so.Hypnosis is a naturally occuring state of mind, you are in a hypnotic state many times during a normal day, you are just not aware of it. The fundamental tuth of hypnosis is that all hypnosis is basically self hypnosis, the therapst is just guiding you into the trance state and helping to facilitate the changes you want to make on a unconscious level. Kundalini
Kundalini is a powerful energy that is within each one of us and some believe is the foundation of life itself, the life force of the universe that is present in all things. The ancient Yogis of India created Yoga to awaken its power and devoted there entire lives to the cultivation and understanding of Kundalini. It has also been a part of many other ancient cultures and religions throughout history. Until recently only the privileged and spiritually adept had knowledge or experience of Kundalini and knew of the secrets of its power but as we progress in this age of awakening, awareness and knowledge of this evolutionary energy is beginning to emerge and people all over the world are experiencing Kundalini Awakening. It is known by a variety of names in many different cultures but the Sages of India called it Kundalini. In Sanskrit this literally means 'the curl of the hair' or 'coiled', it is usually envisaged as a sleeping serpent coiled and ready to be awakened and is sometimes referred to as 'Serpent Power'. Meditation
Meditation is a way of calming the conscious, thinking mind , a way to transcend the boundaries of time and space and connect to the universal consciousness. A way to find peace within and reconnect with your true nature. The main goal of meditation is for the mind to become completely clear of all thoughts and completely focused in the present moment. From this an awareness of the infinity of our true nature occurs. There are many forms of meditation and many different techniques which can aid the practice of meditation. Meditation is a component of many religions so therefore transcends any religious belief, it has been practiced for thousands of years in different ways but always with the same goal in mind, to still the thinking mind and to elevate to higher states of awareness.
